I am trying to start the SAS Deployment Manager 9.4 (64bit). I displays the language select (English selected) and then hangs with the splash screen. Task Manager shows: Java(TM) Platform SE binary(32 bit) (2).

Hi @SSTEAD ,

Is there any anti-virus software running on your machine? This could be the problem in launching SDM.

Thanks!

I disabled Kaspersky before I started the deployment manager.

What version of Windows are you installing on and what maintenance release of Deployment Manager 9.4 are you using?

SSTEAD
Obsidian | Level 7

Windows 10 Pro 10.0.18362 (Build 18362)
SAS 9.4_M4 9.4.0.17221 Size 1.79MB date 8/9/2017 10:24 PM

I am thinking that there is either a file permission problem in the SAS tree or when sasdm starts up java SE binary.

Thank you. Regards.
Stan

You should be OK with that combination of SAS and Windows 10 - 9.4 M3 and higher is supported on Win 10.

I thought so, too. My laptop with the same OS updated the license file just fine. It's my desktop that is having the issue.

I ran the SAS Install Qualification Tool and it found no issues....

Help!

This is probably a case for SAS Tech Support to diagnose your problems in more detail.
