Permissible values are real numbers between 0 and 100. The support percentage figure that you specify refers to the proportion of the largest single item frequency, and not the end support. The default frequency is 5%.

I am just taking rules with two items so simply 1->2 or 2->3 or 3-> or 4->1. So I am not expecting any 4->1. Rule combination of 3&4->1 is not of interest and not considered. What the help documentation says about the Support Percent property is, and i quote, "not the end support". So the results go me a bit confused.

I'm doing and MBA and using Association Node for that. I'm playing around with the Support Percentage property. Base on SAS Help, "The support percentage figure that you specify refers to the proportion of the largest single item frequency, and not the end support." My understanding is this. I did a product ranking, counting how many transactions for each product divided by total transaction. Example: Product 1 = 60% Product 2 = 10% Product 3 = 2% Product 4 = 1% If I set support percentage of 2%, then Products 1-3 will be considered for rule-building. But I'm getting product 4 in the final rules, as left hand. Anyone has idea why this product comes out? Or is my understanding not correct? Thanks a lot!

Hi, I have been looking on references on how to use Link Analysis node and from what I have read, it can generate recommendations for Next-best-offer. On one reference, it explained that the recommendations are based on weighted confidence. Can someone explain further how this is calculated, so i can further understand how the recommendations were come up with and how i can defend them to busines users? Thanks a lot! 😄 Regards, Sarah

Thanks for the input Sam. The variable wasn't used as lattice or group by so it isn't causing that. I did ask some colleagues of mine to do some testing. And it worked out fine for them. But apparently there were using Chrome. I was using IE. it seems the browser that was used caused it. Maybe there is a set up/options/properties if IE that is causing the malfunction. I just can't figure out what. So I'll use Chrome for now. Thanks! Sarah

Thanks Scott! I'll look into that. Would need to consult our team if an upgrade to 7.4 if feasible. If not, I hope someone with 7.3 could give me some enlightenment on this matter.

There might be something wrong with my VA as the right click option is the same as when I click on the background and when I click on the box as you have illlustrated.

I am trying to do some exploration using the Data Explorer in VA. I know with report designer, you can use custom sort to have a customized sorting/fix sorting of a variable. Is it really not possible to do it while in Data explorer? Been trying to figure it out but I can't seem to find it. Bar Chart No Sort option when variable is right-clicked on. By the way, version of VA I'm using is 7.3. Sarah

Hi Padraic, Thanks for your reply. I found something while investigating this error. Apparently, the variable associated with it seem to be not in the input data set. Which makes sense because the variable was rejected in the Variabele selection node before the decision tree. Take note though that we are migrating this project from a EM 6.2 to 14.1. In the project in EM 6.2, the variable was rejected in variable selection node but it still is a variable in the decision tree node following the variable selection. When the project was migrated to 14.1, on the decision tree i tried to import the tree from the results in 6.2 and that's when this error came out. Still a variable selection before the decision tree node and the variable was rejected. Now i wonder why the variable got thru in 6.2 and now it doesnt in 14.1 (which is more correct actually) and now causes error. I had to go to Manual Selector and force the variable as an Input and not rejected. Was it a bug from 6.2? Regards, Sarah

So I have another error with a decision tree node. I am importing a decision tree of another node so my properties are set to: Use Frozen Tree= No Import Tree Model= Yes Tree Model Data Data= Tree4_emtree Now im getting an error on a temporary variable for a formatted value. 15531 +****** TEMPORARY VARIABLES FOR FORMATTED VALUES ******; 15532 +LENGTH _ARBFMT_12 $ 12; DROP _ARBFMT_12; 15533 +_ARBFMT_12 = ' '; /* Initialize to avoid warning. */ 15534 +LENGTH _ARBFMT_0 $ 0; DROP _ARBFMT_0; ERROR: The length of a character variable must be in the range of 1-32767. 15535 +_ARBFMT_0 = ' '; /* Initialize to avoid warning. */ I get that it's because of the length. And im assuming whatever the number is at the end of _ARBFMT_, that is the length being defined. What i don't get is where did _ARBFMT_0 come from and how to change it? When i checked the flow code for Tree 4 (the tree im importing), it doesn't have _ARBFMT_0. It only has _ARBFMT_12. So i don't know where to look at and where it is coming from. Help! Thanks! Sarah

Hi ! I'm trying to migrate a project from EM 6.2 to EM 14.1. The project has been migrated successfully but when i run the diagram, I encounter error in Decision tree nodes that have "Use Frozen Tree" property = "Yes". The end of the log for the node will have something like this: * ERROR: No tree data set exists. Either run the tree node or create a tree data set in Interactive Training. Anyone encountered this ? or know any fix? Thanks ! Sarah
