Hi, You need to check this option,"Export All Code in Process Flow or Project" then run that code. It has worked for me in past. Just make sure of the following. The problem will most likely occur when one or more lines in the saved or exported program has data lines greater than 80 characters or program lines such as in PROC SQL that are greater than 255 characters. Hope it helps.

The other engines like SPDE or HADOOP is not licensed to us thats why i was trying to figure all the other possible engine to edit the data.

Hi, i have been trying to update my master data in HADOOP with the transaction data. So my question is how to modify this master data in hadoop from Enterprise Guide. LIBNAME hdfs SASHDAT PATH="/staging" SERVER=SERVERNODE INSTALL="/Hadoop/TKGrid"; data hdfs.MASTER; set TRANSACTION; modify hdfs.MASTER key=Index; set TRANSACTION (drop=ObsCreatedDate); if _iorc_= 0 then replace; else output; call missing(of _all_); PROC DELETE data=TRANSACTION ; run; It gives the error. ERROR: The SASHDAT engine is a uni-directional engine. Data flows from the SAS client to the Hadoop Distributed File System. The engine cannot be used to fetch data from HDFS. Then i tried with HPDS2 still the same error please help.

Hi, I am trying to do the following. --> Create a SPDE library in Hadoop. --> Send data to this library. --> to create index on the dataset. --> And be able to modify the dataset. I don't know how to create SPDE library in SAS. for the rest i have excuted the following. Hi Miriammess, Why not try SAS MERGE, to the two tables: data <resulttable>; merge <table1> <table2>; by a; run; This will result in the exact same thing that you are expecting from FULL JOIN. --Hope it helps.

I know surely you must be following the two basic things. --> the user bt which the operation is performed should be have a passwordless ssh connection to the datanodes. --> Second you can check for the datanaode status from the 50070 port. Maybe the hadoop services need to be restarted. --> in putty login from user which has password ssh access to datanodes. --> establish ssh connection to datanode. --> execute the /Hadoop/hadoop-2.4.0/sbin/start-dfs.sh If the above is in perfect order then you have to provide more details on the log.

Most probably it is an SQL dump. It contains essentially SQL statements (create table, insert into...). If you put the contents of the file inside a PROC SQL; and QUIT; you have some chances that you can run it. But also possible, that you have to edit this code. A "supported way" to import such a file is to import it with a native tool (Oracle and maybe MySQL and PostgreSQL support this), then access that database with the appropriate SAS Access engine. Or make an export to a text file.

Hi Freddy, It would be nice if you can share your experience in SAS , and what you have done till now. So that we can give you better suggestion. Nevertheless, I would recommend you to read some of the books written by Ron Cody. He is one of the authors i have been reading. Then you can test out your skill by giving exams, expect the best. Even the exam preparation guide cannot give the questions that will prepare you for the real thing. So i would suggest you to study the materials out the already then shoot for the exams. -Hope it helps.
