Okay, I have a sub-optimal solution, but I suppose it will have to do. I ended up sizing the bubbles according to number of users and coloring the bubbles red if agent count > 0 and blue otherwise. The ability to overlay geo-type maps (using the custom graph builder) would be ideal...

Yes that is what I did, however some postcodes have both users and agents. So for these cases, minimum only shows the user and so I don't believe this method will work for me ..

Hi Falko, Thank-you for your response. I tried using a color-mapped value, however the drop down box only allows me to choose ID (which is my geography data item), it doesn't allow me to choose the category specifying agent/user. Similarly, if I create an Indicator measure, 1 = Agent, 0 = User to use for the expression display rule. This aggregates at the postcode level. So if a postcode has both an agent and a user and I have selected minimum as the aggregation this will be 0. I am not quite sure how to get the display rule to work for a non-geographic category. Please note that I do not have access to ARGIS online ..

Hi - I have two types of people - agents and users. I would like to show user density relative to agent location on a geo map. Preferable something similar to the included picture, taken from https://community.tableau.com/thread/126710 As a second option, I would like to show the users as one colour on the map (as a bubble, sized by count aggregated at the postcode level) and the agents as another colour on the map (as either a bubble or coordinate at the lat and lon cordinates o the agent). An example would look as follows (taken from: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/11/01/upshot/many-ways-to-map-election-results.html) Is this possible in SAS VA vn 7.3 and if so, how can I go about doing this? I have looked at the SAS Custom Graph Builder and there doesn't appear to be the option to overlay geo maps - however, I would love to stand corrected. Thanks, Marie

Hi - Is there a way to wrap a y-axis title when using xaxistable (to get around at present I am using labelpos=top, but would prefer it at the default for consistency with other charts). Eg. of problem the following code : proc sgplot data=sashelp.cars(where=(make = 'Acura'));
vbar model/response=invoice;
yaxis label= "This no longer wraps, how can I get it to wrap?";
xaxistable invoice /label="a" valueattrs= (color=liggr) labelattrs=(size=8pt);
run; returns the following:

Hi - I am using vn 7.3. I have been able to use the color-mapped value display rule for a scatter plot. However I am not given this option for a custom chart I have which consists of a scatter plot on top of a schedule chart. The scatter plot has a color category. I have a slider to filter this chart and each time I change the slider values the category colors change. It is extremely annoying - do you have an idea of how I can set the category colours so they are consistent? Thanks, Marie

Thanks a lot for this reply ! I found this very clear to follow and was able to replicate the functionality using the toy data set .. now on to the "real report"!

In addition to the above, we would ideally like to allow the users to select how many periods back to compare, e.g. if comparing months, then show selected month and the previous X month(s) where X is another parameter. So I wonder if the transposed data method would facilitate this?

Thanks for this post; it is extremely useful. We would like do something similar (starting with Analysis Quarter), but want to understand the option of transposing the data (which in your case the client was not interested in doing .. ). Using the Insights Toy Data, are you able to elaborate on how you would transpose the data using SAS VA and then creating the report? As stated above, we would like to start with Analysis Quarter, but then give the option to the user of selecting whether they analyse the data using Year, Quarter or Month. Regards, Marie

I had thought about creating images of each ppt slide and including them so having pdf slides appended to the ppt would work. In this instance, I ended up writing up the existing ppt slides again using ODS Powerpoint. However, I will dissect your answer in the future (in order to understand it) and will no doubt apply it. Many thanks for these details.

Okay - something simple I didn't know ... to see the template I just needed to use the following code: proc template;
source styles.powerpointlight;
run; then it is easy to see that I eneded to adjust the List class class List /
fontsize = 12pt; Reference: Concepts: Styles and the TEMPLATE Procedure

I already have static PPT slides (details for an appendix) that I created using Powerpoint. I would like to append these to a file of data that I am generating using ODS POWERPOINT. Writing them out using code is tedious (tables, bullet lists, etc) (at least for me) and so being able to import the slides would be a great timesaver - is this possible?
