Hello! .ini file contains the memory launch options for every Operating System. In your case, you are going to launch the setup.exe from Depot for installing SAS in Windows, depending on your Operating System this setup will use the options included for win (Windows 32 bits) or wx6 (Windows 64bits). In the same note you found this memory change, you have also at the end the info for recovering right logs. You shouldn't put a | between them. The line is terminated by a given line terminator - so long as the person importing the file knows the line terminator, they can read it in correctly. Where processing should happen really depends on the concrete case. What you normally want to minimize with heterogenous joins (=combining data from different data sources) is the movement of data between servers. Case 1: Big Teradata table, small SAS table, result needed in SAS only a small subset of rows in Teradata Here you certainly want to push all the processing to Teradata so you need to somehow upload the SAS data into Teradata for the join. If you only need key columns from the SAS side to sub-set rows in Teradata then "dbkey" is great; else you probably need to go for a temporary table in Teradata (if allowed to do so). Case 2: Big Teradata table, small SAS table, result needed in SAS are almost all rows from Teradata table Here processing can happen in SAS; eventually using a data step where you load your small SAS table into a hash and then do the lookup this way. Use Keep/Drop to only load the required columns from Teradata to SAS. There are also options like "readbuff" which you might want to alter from their default settings. There is no "one fits all" approach but you need to acquire a bit a deeper understanding of how things work to come up with the right solution on a case by case basis. SAS does not truncate a name longer than 32 characters. If you have a table name that is greater than 32 characters, it is recommended that you create a table view."

I'm new in SAS EMiner. I have two model with same problem: One model is running with neural node. Another model is running with tree node. I couldn't find the model that I'm running under the project folder. Where can I find it? In such case is there any other way to check what the problem is?

Hi, do you still have a SAS install on your machine right now? If so, what you could try is uninstalling the existing one, and then try and install from the media/depot you have. Please make sure you back up your environment before going that route!!! Are you installing from media or from a software depot? Something must have gone wrong with your SAS files when the environment was upgraded from 32-bit to 64-bit. What version of SAS are you running? Are you trying to do a SAS version upgrade at the same time? What are the exact steps you go when trying to install? Check with your administrator if you have permissions to install. These are a lot of questions, but hopefully the answers will bring us a bit closer to what is going on Thanks Anja

If you wish to use SAS programs in any way, the module Base SAS is mandatory. So it means that's included in any bundle that uses SAS programs. This is reflected in the customer contracts, and in the SAS setinit licence file.

The MSI installer gave a 1618 return code, which according to the MSI documentation is, "Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install." It sounds like another MSI installation may be in progress on your machine. I suggest restarting your machine and try again. If still no luck (after trying again after a restart), contact tech support. They'll want your IT_2016-08-23-10.06.17.log and install_eguide_7.1_wx6_en_2016-08-23-10.12.54.log (from C:\Program Files\SASHome\InstallMisc\InstallLogs\).

C: drive is always local to the computer. This means that the C: drive on your local computer is not the same location that the C: drive on your SAS server. You should talk to your SAS server admin for directions how to use storage accessible from your SAS server session.

Still not seeing the SAS code that generates this error. Still, can you verify that the actual physical memory is 16GB? If this is the case, you probably shouldn't set 16GB in SAS, since the OS, other users and applications probably uses some of that memory. Look into your OS monitor to see the memory usage prior to your batch. Also, check how much free space there is where your library ABCD1 resides. And again, check the amount available space on saswork. How large is the input table(s) to this step? If you need help, it's better to give a little more, or at least as much information we ask for - not less.

Sorry for the misunderstaning: I understood you use EG because you opened the topic in the forum for Enterprise Guide. If it is SAS, you might need to review your memory settings for SASBase, which are located in the SASFoundation/9.X/nls/(your language)/sasv9.conf. If you have a SASAdmin close to you, I would advise you to make contact with your SASAdmin so can give you the best recommendation.

Hi, most probably, you can define on the properties of the node, that you want to set the location of the table on a different library, unless that you have an specific node for that. Or, maybe you can just add custom code to save the table on a library that is present on EG, since on Eminer you can see the metadata libraries, same than with EGuide.
