Hi There, If you are unable to open data source means there are two types, 1. Permissions issue & 2. LASR Server might be in stopped state. So to overcome this issue you need to click on Administrator in VA, then check whether the LASR Server is in RUNNING State or not. If YES Then Click on LASR Tables, check those TABLES are in LOADED or UNLOADED. If it is Unloaded, you need to try to Get Status, if not you need to Reload those tables again. It should work. Hi There, You are looking for upgrade your SAS VA from 7.1 to 7.3. (Windows, Non-Distributed SAS LASR). That means Single Server Installation. If you want to UPGRADE, there are two types of environments are there. 1. HTTP 2. HTTPs (Secure Socket Layer (SSL Certificate)) HTTP: You can UPGRADE the environment without uninstalling your environment. HTTPs: You need to take the whole environment backup (Metadata), Uninstall 7.1 it and Install 7.3, then Migrate your reports backup. Hi There, You can't give interactions between TWO Drop Down Lists, if you drop it in (Drop controls here to create a section prompt). That is Global. One Drop Down List or Button Bar will control that Section Charts.You can't see when you try to give interactions in Interaction Tab. So you need to add\drop the 2 Drop Down lists in center of the section (Drop a report Object here). Hi There, Your SAS Admin used to create an individual SAS identity for each person who uses the SAS environment in SMC whether the SAS Server is in Workgroup (OR) Domain (AD \ LADP). Each user needs an account that is known to the metadata server's host, if SAS Server is in WORKGROUP (Non-Domain). In this case you need to change the User's Password in OS Level (Workgroup). If the Server is in Domain, the users used to login using their Domain ID and Password. The End Users\Business Users, those who are accessing SAS VA Application, used to change their Passwords anytime without knowing to SAS Admin. NOTE: If the SAS Metadata Server is on Windows, users typically have Active Directory (AD) accounts. If the SAS Metadata Server is on UNIX, users might have UNIX accounts. Hi There, In WRS Report, using Conditional Highliting, there is an alternative way even if we select Table. Right Click on the Cross Tab - Select Conditional Highliting - In Rule Tab - Rule Assignment - there are TWO Options are there. It will fulfil your requirement. Hi There, This is very easy and you need to Edit the Cube. Before editing the Cube you should close the WRS Report, if you select this Cube as a source in this report. 1. Right Click on the Cube - Select Edit Structuture - Click on Next - Click on Next - Select the Dimension - Click on Modify - Click on Next - Select the Level(Variable) - Click on Sort Order - Select Dataset Order - Click on Next - Click on Finish - Click on Finish. NOTE: In your screen shot, 2nd and 3rd Levels\Variables are not in Sort Order. So you need to Select Dataset Order for BOTH Variables. Now Try to open the saved report in WRS and check. Hi There, In SAS VA, the Data Exploration, FORECAST feature is available\possible using Line Chart. We can export this VISUALIZATION into REPORT (File - Export - Exploration as Report), but it is static. We can't do any modifications if we add it in one of the section in Report Designer. Even we can't publish VISUALIZATIONs to End Users or Business Users in Report Viewer. So each and everytime we need to follow the above steps until the options are available in Report Designer. These features (Forecast feature using Line Chart, Sankey Diagram, Decision Tree, Heat Map, Box Plot) are NOT available in Report Designer. Hi There, If you want to restrict the viewing of data or certain reports which contains mulitple reports\sections in Single Report, you need to use Administrator in SAS VA. First of all you need to know the imported data where it is stored stored. Please find the attached document for detailed information. Hi There, First of all you need to know the differece between Report Designer and Data Exploration. In Report Designer, we used to create REPORTS using different sections with multiple data sources. In Data Exploration, we used to do exploration about the data. Those are VISUALIZATIONS not reports. This is for your understanding the terminology in VA. We can meet these kind of requirements. Missing columns in Visual Analytics Explore Data Hi There, If it is a Excel or CSV orText file, you need to convert into SAS Dataset using Base SAS or EG, then try to import it using Data Explorer or Report Designer or Data Builder. Error while opening a report This is commonly happening in most of the environments. So to resolve\overcome this issue, you need to import the same table\dataset again. Then open the saved reports. What is the difference between Dashboards and Reports? In Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) Environment, we have Client Applicaltions (OLAPCubes, InfoMap) and Web Applications' (WRS, Dashboard & Portal (IDP)) Tools are there for Reporting. SAS Web Report Studio (WRS): We can create Detailed, Summarized REPORTS and Section REPORTS . Whereas in SAS BI Dashbaord: We can create DASHBOARDS like, Bar Charts (Simple, Targetted, Clustered, Stacked, Interactive Bar Charts, Bar Chart with Reference Lines, Pie Chart, KPIs, Spark Table and Interaction between Dashbaords.) So finally we used to PUBLISH WRS REPORTS & DASHBOARDS into SAS Information Delivery Portal (IDP) for End Users\Business Users for checking the reports. Visual Analytics (VA): We can create REPORTS & DASHBOARDS using Report Designer. We can create Listing Reports using List Table, Hierarchical Reports using Cross Tab, Bar and Pie charts etc. We can create different SECTION Reports using multiple data sources.
