Thanks for the reply Ballardw. My data looks something like example2(also have repeats of x). I tried to use the Response variable after the /, it is giving me an error like ‘expecting a RESPONSE’.

Hi I am getting below warning for sgplot procedure. WARNING: The data for a BARCHARTPARM statement are not appropriate. The BARCHARTPARM statement expects summarized data. The bar chart might not be drawn correctly. What will be the reason for this type of warnings? My code looks something like below: proc sgplot data=name; hbarparm category=var1 response=var2 / group=var3 outline fill barwidth=.7 dataskin=none clusterwudth=0.1; run; TIA

Hi I want to calculate HR using phreg procedure. I used the procedure and I got some value for HR.Can anybody guide me how I need to check whether I am getting the correct values or not?I found this below link which helped me to understand https://communities.sas.com/t5/Statistical-Procedures/hazard-ratio-with-PHREG/td-p/36790 but still have some confusion regarding the HR whether I am getting the correct value or not. Can anybody suggest me where I can explore more about HR? TIA.

Thanks for the reply koen. I don't know anything about data mining. I just want to know the meaning of data mining and what is the purpose and where do we use data mining in clinical trial data (just to get the basic idea). I have seen some common data mining techniques when I google it, but didn't understand how can I relate that to clinical trial data.

hi I have a birth variable in a dataset which is character type. Now I want to convert into is8601da. format. First I created another variable to change the birth variable to numeric and then use the put function to apply the format. I have tried the below code: birth1=input(birth,anydtdtm20.); BRTHDTC=put(birth1,is8601da.); birth variable format in the dataset ::::1988-08-29 I got ********** this for BRTHDTC. What am I doing wrong? Can anybody help me with this. TIA.

Can anybody suggest where can I find the practice data and programming questions for practice? And Is there any possibility of getting questions from any books in the real exam? TIA.

hi I am new to sas preparing for certification.Can somebody help me with the below program: Create 3 groups for Cvar:A-G is group=1;H-N is group=2;o-z is group=3. All variations of the variables should be in the same group i.e "A" or "a" should be in group=1. Calculate the average of X and Y by group. My question is :Do i need to create new variables X and Y to calculate average?
