OK this works, but it is a ridiculous work around. How could SAS not anticipate the need to print several hundred rows. The print to pdf function that gives you a screenshot and then compresses complex cross tabs into a single page is not a workable product. Yes Richard , I am aware . The one that I know involves adding as column to the TARGET table (eq ID) and then changing the lasr table authorization to (if userid eq SAS.PersonName or Identity Group).My question is how is it possible to add an extra column to such a large table (Audit_visualanalytics) which is so dynamic in nature.Creating a copy of this table and manipulating it , will not give a real time picture.. May i know how to do it in report designer? Using "RelativePeriod"?   I need to use the count of prev period to calculate percentage change. However, if i were to create it in report designer, it will be affected by the filter condition of the crosstab.   for my case, i only wish to display last 5 years of data on the crosstab (2011-2016). However, as you can see in the picture, the percentage difference for the "first year" (2011) is missing because data for 2010 is not displayed in the crosstab hence there's no reference to get the previous period count.    I'm thinking if there's any ways to display the percentage difference for 2011 without displaying 2010 data. Hi Tricia,    many thanks for your post. The technical side of my brain took over and I forgot to dive deeper into the real issue behind the customer question. This has now been addressed. We willl probably solve this issue by displaying the max date on the report.    I hope SAS will add more tighter integration of stored processes into VA. I don't think there is a way to do this with standard VA functionality. However Base SAS can do this very easily. Are your familiar with Stored Processes? A stored process could replicate this process, outputing the results directly into VA.    Richard ... View more

one solution would be to add a  total column to your table in section a. You can then double click the total to jump to section b, with all the periods being passed in the filter. If I am not mistaken the code for both a distributed and a non-distributed server is the same.    The only difference is in the results. For a distributed you get a record per distributed node. If you group these records as suggested in the documentation you will get the total memory usage. I am using this code now on my current project.
