Well, yes, but I'm not sure it will give you what you want until 9.3. There is a tags sent as an example called rtf_sample that puts the titles and footers into the rtf header/footer areas of the doc. Unfortunately, it's action is like the trad rtf and the column headers are not re-initialized on page breaks, like the trad rtf that does not know where page breaks occur. "Tagsets.rtf_sample" was never tested enough to be production, so that is another caveat. In 9.3, it was improved so that it will give you the kind of output it sounds like you want. The page numbers and page of syntax are field edit instructions in the rtf. When they occur in the title, they are activated automatically,even in edit mode. When they are activated in the body, each one has to be activated independently. In both tagsets.rtf and the traditonal rtf using body title, you can switch from edit mode to print preview mode. This will expand all the instructions. If you were to print them, they would also show up. Another choice is the modify the pagno style. The default page numbers show up in the "header" section of the rtf doc. And then you could see them in edit mode also. You would have to apply the style to the rtf document wiht "ods rtf style=yourstyle" ... Hello Sanjay, Titles and footnotes are tables in tagsets.rtf. As such the field edit instructions do not get executed by default on opening the file in edit mode. If you use Print Preview in Word, the instructions should be executed as if you were prinitng the doc. Another way to get at this without the Print Preview setting is to use the PAGENO style element. I can't say where teh borders are coming from without looking at the style, but youcan override them in the same proc template with : style continued from continued / pretext = text(" ") borderwidth=0pt ; 0 width drops the borders. You could also write a short tagset whose parent is tagsets.rtf. Your tagset would just re-write the continue event to put things in a bit bucket. I believe the box you see is from a gridline around the text. One the "table" pull down in Word, you can cut the grid lines off. Also, the prepage line should look more like : ods rtf prepage='\R/RTF"\s1 Names"'; run; I don't beleive there is a prepage style in 9.1. There is in 9.2. Yes. You found a problem. It stems froma request in BODYTITLE functionality to not force page breaks on the section data. It places a \sbknone on the section and, when needed, uses the rtf spec "\page" for the page break. It interacts very poorly with the request for the table of contents page at the top. It was fixed in the NEXT RELEASE, which does you no good at all. There is a distinction between gridlines and cell borders. In Word, uneder the Table tab, there is a swithc for Show/Hide Gridlines. When it is on, it places a gridline around the table (titles and footnotes are tables, also). There is no control for some gridlines and not others. Borders on cells are a different story. They are applied on a cell by cell basis. Until 9.2, borders were only controlled on a table basis. Even then, you would have t be able to identify a specifc cell in some way to change border values. I might be able to help, depending on how the table is being created. There are some non production rtf options that mgiht help, if the table is created with a "footer" section. that will depend on the proc being used. They are inserted in the rtf doc at the appropriate locations but can't be verified.
