Hi there! I googled and checked the SAS Communities but didn't see any help on this. The code below works fine on SAS 9.4, but doesn't work, and gives an error (see below). In case it's not obvious, the XXX and YYY are real names in my working code. Just didn't want to post those here. I also tried (in EG) changing single quotes to double, and putting the code all on one line. Still gives the same errors. I think it's the first error that's most relevant. On 9.4 this opens a dialogue box where I enter my UN and PW for this server.     libname XXX oledb provider=sqloledb prompt=YES         dataSource='YYY' properties=('Initial Catalog'=XXX_db)         schema=dbo access=readonly;   ERROR: Error trying to establish connection: Unable to prompt for connection information. Hi folks! I'm not a regular SAS user so sorry if this is obvious. I'm wondering how to get a count of the # of tables in  a library. For example, I thought there would a "# of files" count somewhere in the Explorer window, or selecting all (ctrl+a on the files) would give a "N files selected" message like in Windows Explorer. But no luck. Did a quick Google but no luck. I have two versions of a library with hundreds of tables that I need to compare (one local and one remote on a collaborator's server), and I was hoping I could just quickly get the # of files in each and then scroll through to find any missing. Obviously this wouldn't guarantee that the file contents are the same, but right now we're just checking whether files are present. Thanks!   In short, using the Mapssas library as an example, how can I easily get a count of the # of files in that library? Doesn't need to be automated or used in other code. What version of SAS Viya or add-on package would my org have to purchase to get the SURVEY procs (e.g., SURVEY FREQ, SURVEY LOGISTIC)? I'm hearing more about the switch to SAS Viya at my org but it isn't clear if the SURVEY procs will be available by default. Read the two things below. Second one makes it seem like they're not part of the Viya default. But I couldn't figure out how we get them in Viya. Haven't asked my SAS rep yet. Stata has a very handy documentation/transparency/reproducibility metadata function that allows users to add custom, verbose notes to a data file (as metadata). See more information here: https://www.stata.com/manuals/dnotes.pdf.   As far as I can tell, SAS doesn't do this (can label a data file, but limited space to do so).  The maximum length of one note is 67,784 for a single note and multiple notes can be added to a data file (e.g., when doing something to/with it and saving).    The notes are numbered sequentially, so can be used as a change log, e.g.,    1. Saved raw data file after downloading from the web.  2. Created recodes for vars X-Z. 3. Copy of data file used in publication.    See other examples in the link above.    Obviously, this information can be listed in a custom log or in code, but what's better than attaching metadata about a data file to the file itself?
