Greetings everyone! Can someone point me to documentation on what steps to take to load multiple users into SAS Visual Analytics 7.5? I need to load about 2,000 user and one by one isn't something I am looking forward to. I checked the 7.5 User's Manual, but only saw steps for loading one user at a time. Thank you, Gary

Hey everyone, I am at a loss here and need help. This seems like it should be something very easy to, and it probably is, but I am completely missing it. I simply need to add a calculation that takes the "Failed" value and divides it by the "Passed" value in the attached document for each semester (fall and spring) down the column. In other words each row should have a percent for each year and semester. I have a field in the attached document titled "Calculated Item 2" which is where this calculated value should go and appear to the end user. I have several years across the top with semesters under those. Thanks everyone, very frustrated here. Gary

Thanks for responding Sam_SAS! Sorry I just saw this. I didn't see an email notification. This is a screen snippet of the only options available in SAS 7.5 regarding the legend in a chart. Could it possibly be that this is addressed in a Hot Fix? My understanding is our version has had no Hot Fixes installed.

Greetings, So we migrated from SAS VA 7.3? (Flash) to SAS VA 7.5 (HTML5). We had bar charts with dashed reference lines which migrated with no issues. We see them in our reports just as they were in our previous SAS VA version. Now we wish to add an additional dashed reference line to the chart that currently has a dashed reference line, but it seems that option is not available in SA VA 7.5. Am I correct or is there actually a way to make a reference line in a bar chart dashed in 7.5? Thank you all as always! Gary

Greetings everyone! Has anyone run into the issue where you add a SAS VA report to the SAS Analytics app and when you attempt to open it, it crashes the app? I do not receive any notification or error message. The app simply closes. Thanks, Gary

Hello PetriRoine! Thank you for the response. Yes, we looked at your suggestion prior to our post but that will not work for the user. It is odd to me that SSRS (Microsoft SQL), Crystal Reports, and others will allow what we are trying to do. Thank you, Gary

I feel silly asking this but I cannot figure out how to place a measure in a cross tab and have a category "below" it. I have attached a PDF of a screen shot that shows divisions here at my college as rows, Term_Year as a column and a course count and a status count as measures. This all well and good, but the user wishes to have each measure grouped by year instead of measure. In other words; Course Count Status Number_of_Seats_Filled 2016 | 2017 | 2018 2016 | 2017 | 2018 2016 | 2017 | 2018 instead of 2016 2017 Course Count | Status | Number_of_Seats_Filled Course Count | Status | Number_of_Seats_Filled etc. Everything is summed dynamically based on selections in drop-boxes so I cannot create the values and display them. Their old report in Crystal Reports did this so I am guessing I am just missing something obvious. Thanks as always for your help. Gary

Thank you Sam! I understand. What I ended up doing was to add a column in my data based on the hierarchy of my report; Year, Term, Full/Part Time, Student ID. This identifies the first instance of a student with those attributes by marking it with the number 1. All other instances of the same Year, Term, Full/Part Time, Student ID were identified as a 0 for that student. This gave me a measure of distinct count that I could use for column percentages. This appears to be working great as long as the hierarchy remains the same and keeps me from using more space on the LASR server. Thanks again! Gary

Greetings everyone, First, I apologize if this has been posted before, but any search I do only brings up information for SAS VA 7.4 or below or Viya. We just upgraded to SAS VA 7.5 this week and I have been asked to add a percent of the total to an existing report. The report is student enrollment by full-time and part-time, ethnicity and gender. The data that drives this report is a table of all coursework students have taken for a given term and year so student IDs are duplicated due to students taking multiple classes. I could create a new table but that is additional space on the LASR server for data that actually already exists. I use the Distinct [_ByGroup_] ('Student_ID'n) aggregated measure to display unduplicated headcounts for the various fields in the report. I have included an image of the report. Right clicking on the column heading for gender or headcount does not give me the option to create a percent of row or column. If I create a calculated item for each gender and place that in the crosstab I do see the option for creating the percent values I need, but the percent values are then based on duplicated student IDs not the unique/unduplicated values in my aggregated measure Headcount value. Is there a way I can create percent of totals on the unduplicated student ID count? I did try this but it isn't valid; IF ( 'Student Gender'n Contains 'Female' ) RETURN Distinct [_ByGroup_] ('Student_ID'n) ELSE 0 Thank you and I do apologize if this has been answered. Gary

Greetings everyone, So I created a report (hours and hours) and it has been working fine. I deleted a report parameter drop down list and added a drop down list to the actual report per the request of the user. I saved the report and everything was working great and the user was happy. This was two days ago. I went in to look at the report today and it will not load. I am receiving a SAS Visual Analytics Viewer message box that says, "An unexpected service error was encountered while attempting to fulfill the request." When I attempt to open the report in Designer I get the message; FaultEvent fault=[RPC Fault faultString="java.lang.RuntimeException : Report could not be opened. Cause: Unexpected second use of a unique name: dd10647 (Reason : Report Cannot Be Read) :: java.io.IOException: Error occurred during attempt to read a report from input stream., Exception: Unexpected second use of a unique name: dd10647 (Reason : Report Cannot Be Read)" faultCode="Server.Processing" faultDetail="null"] messageId="84969DCF-DA0D-386A-5A52-C932EE6A5F85" type="fault" bubbles=false cancelable=true eventPhase=2] Does anyone have any ideas? As I said, this report has been functioning for months with no issue and was for a time after I made the change. The change I made was actually very simple. Thank you all! Gary
