Hi All,   For visual analytics report which I would like to give only read only permissions (view only not edit).    I have created user and assigned this user RM (read metadata) permission in SMC. under the folders tab to a specific folder.   when we logged on visual analytics this user having permissions to view and edit the report. how this edit permission derived?    If I apply on Read (R)permission , user can't see the folder and its contents(reports).   The requirement is : user should view the report not to edit. Hello All,   I am getting the following error on the lasr server while starting or stoping in va . Lasr server starting successfuly but there a window opens giving the following message.   Export code failed   Task summary --success(sasjob precode) ERRORS (Export code)------ERROR: insufficient authorization to access /sas/sart_110817022617.sas ..( looked for this program in server but no where it exist ) and this number keep changes after doing repeated /sas/start_110817024110 (next occurrence..) any idea on this please..     ... Hi All,   I would like to check whether can we hide the columns in VA?    Even developer should not see these columns data (Like descriptive columns(name , address, phone , city))   developer can generate the report by using id, age,salary,married status,education and he drag the other columns (name,address,phone,city) but should not  see the data.   once developer generate the report then the report will go to admin, then admins decision whether he can give access to end-user should see this information or not from this report. If admin approves then end-user can see the report.   Its customized specific type of report. where as it not like normal report where we generate the report and giving particular user access to see it. here admin who approves the specific columns permission to the end-user.     something new which we do in  ... HI All,   we have been facing the following error message in the log. The task is : The batch job loading the data into client appliaction by reading the from oracle database.    2017-aug-02 10:09:20 : (19211) ERROR: Backgroud append failed to encode the record data.   Like the above message its been repeated every hour of the day. when the batch job running.   the batch job processing the data from oracle data base to sas client appliaction. just as a guess is there any issue with the data size is huge then this kind of message appears.? should we trust the job is loading the data into client application? eve the above Error appears in the log. its really difficult to test the data because the data size is huge ( may be 10 millions records) .   Thanks in advance! ...
