Hello, I'm trying to generate a variable (named "NEW") that is set to i=1 when first.VAR is observed and then is incremented by one until last.VAR.  But i'd like that each time a new first.VAR is met, NEW is set to  i+1. And as a last requirement, i'd like that when NEW=12, then NEW+1 is set back to 1.  !   I tried something like this (In the attached table VAR is named PUIS_CLASS) : data WAANT; Set HAVE; Retain NEW; Do i=1 to 12; By PUIS_CLASS; if first.PUIS_CLASS then NEW=i; else NEW=i+1; if last.PUIS_CLASS then output; end; run; But it's not the solution...   Thank you again for your help 🙂    ... Hello, I have a character variable under this form : 61.39€ 47.32€ 124.45€ 12.3€   and i'd like to convert it into a numeric variable under that form : 61.39 47.32 124.45 12.3     I tried this code :  Data WANT; Set HAVE; NEW=input(strip(scan(VAR,-1,"€")), 5); run; but i don't get what i want. Hi,  I ran a proc cluster on the proc corresp output. I obtain a tree (see picture below), and the output table (see table attached).      In the table (Ward), I have in front of each of my variables, the name of (what I believe to be) the smallest cluster I can get. What i'd like,  one of my most cherished dreams, is having several columns in my Ward table, each column representing one level of clustering.
