Hi There, I have demonstrated blacklisting an iPad a number of times when I teach SAS VA courses for SAS Education Australia. Upon blacklisting a device within SAS Visual Analytics Administrator (manage environment) the next time the device attempts to connect a dialog appears on the iPad stating that a connection cannot be made. Hi Manish, Is there a reason why you have chosen the CrossTab report object rather than a Table object? As the data items In_time, Out_time and login hours are column headers in the CrossTab they are not available for display rules (conditional formatting), however if you use a Table object you can set up a display rule for the 3 data items. Hi Lainie, Thanks for the update and your investigations. I look forward to see the screen shots. As the poll area in the right nav is small and narrow in size, I'm not sure whether screen shots in the poll would work. If it does work then great! If the size is too small, perhaps have a discussion page with all the screenshots and then have a link to the poll from the discussion page. This will allow members to place their feedback and to link to the poll. In the poll, link to the discussion page so that people can see the screenshots, discussions and also add to it. Depends on what you classify as easy... You may already be familiar with the Change the Data Source option that is available in Visual Analytics Explorer - Change Data Source - User Guide or alternatively you could move the table and then next time you open the exploration you will be prompted to update your data source. For your reports, you can use the Repair Reports Window - User's Guide to fix them. While this approach is manual it is easy in the sense that it is done via point and click using the Visual Analytics interface. I think if someone is taking on the SAS administration role I would recommend for them to understand and define what that role entails. Greg Nelson eloquently describes the various roles of a SAS administrator: strategy, architecture, installation, monitoring, maintenance and support. He has a fantastic mind map outlining these roles which he includes in his blog post A day in the life of a SAS Administrator: Understanding the roles we play - SAS Users The role of a SAS administration in one organization may require all of these skills and in another organization there may be a team of SAS administrators where each member specializes in a specific area. I think it's important for a SAS administrator to identify what role they play and then to make use of the variety of references and resources with the potential to extend into other areas in the future... Unfortunately there isn't a way to have a dynamic data item control used in a report object. I raised this as a feature request in August 2013 with SAS Tech Support #77611064595. I envisage this may be very useful for people to use in reports where report objects roles can be dynamically assigned by the end user, similar to the variable selection list prompt type in SAS Enterprise Guide. Members can share their questions and experiences. There certainly is more activity during the US business day, most likely due to the majority of members from the US region. Hi Alex, Thanks for providing the screenshots. Your thoughts in terms of added a calculated item with the boolean expression is a way to do this. You can create a Jeans data item and a T-Shirts data item with the boolean expressions you have specified. Then you can use a Table object rather than CrossTab where you will have MONTH, JEANS, T-SHIRTS. In the table you then want to add another column, Variance, which is calculated using an aggregated measure - Sum ByGroup(JEANS) - Sum ByGroup(T-SHIRTS). This will then be grouped by MONTH in your Table object as you have it as a column. Unfortunately the CrossTab object doesn't have the option to calculate Variance or other measures such as percentages on the fly... a nice to have in a future release I think! 🙂 Kind Regards, Michelle ...
