Hi SAS Forum, I am reviewing a sas code written by someone else who has used "if a =1" statement which I am not familier with. I am familier only with "if a" statement. To test, whether  both "if a =1" and "if a" statements are producing the exactly same resutls, I just did the following experiment. Suppose I have below two data sets. data PATDATA; input SUBJECT TRT_CODE $; cards; 124263 A 124264 A 124265 B 124266 B ; run; data ADVERSE; input SUBJECT EVENT $; cards; 124263 HEADACHE 124266 FEVER 124266 NAUSEA 124267 FRACTURE ; run; /*sorting*/ proc sort data= PATDATA;   by subject; run; proc sort data= ADVERSE;   by subject; run; /*merging by giving IF a statement*/ DATA alldata0;      MERGE adverse (in=a)                 patdata (in=b); BY subject; IF a; RUN; proc print; run; Below is the resultant table. 1 124263 HEADACHE A 2 124266 FEVER B 3 124266 NAUSEA B 4 124267 FRACTURE /*merging by giving IF a=1 statement*/ This also gave me the same above output table. So, I concluded that both IF a=1 and IF a statements give us the identical resutls. Question: Could any merging expert confirm whether I could generalize my conclusion for any situation. Hi SAS Forum, I ran the below code. data null; today = today (); format today date9.; run; proc print; It created the below data set which is understandable. 1 03JUL2013 However, I ran below data _null_ code and it produced nothing, not anything in the log too. I know that data _null_ doesn’t produce a separate data set but it should show the values that were generated in the SAS log, isn’t it? data _null_; today = today (); format today date9.; run; Q: Could anyone elaborate a bit what is really happening inside data _null_? Hi SAS Forum, I have run a proc sql program. It generated the output file and log doesn't have any complains. Question: /*At the top of my EG Window in the "blue ribon like line' it keeps saying the programe is running*/ The messege reades exactly like below ("Test" is the name of my EG project). Hi EG Forum, I am using SAS in EG. I have run a macro which creates 12 months datasets. Question: In the middle of running (or after running, I am not too sure when) I have seen a message both in “Project Tree” and “Process Flow” chart indicating “Data set  Limit Reached”.
