Hi everyone. Can I please seek your advise on how to write the SAS program to clean my survey based data in a way that can be used to perform routine data check because the data collection is till going. That is whatever that has previously been checked and clarified as logical/plausible/truly unavailable answer will not show up again when I run the data cleaning program next time. Hi @Ksharp. Thank you for yor reply. I am not familiar with modelling by gamma with log-link. However, I would have thought stating household in the repeated subject statement instead to account for the clustering. And are the p-value test for difference also correct on the original scale of the response variable? Since as far as I understand it is testing the response variable on the log scale. Sorry @Reeza. I am not too sure. However, my interest is to find out whether 1) households in group X are made up of younger or older adults than households in group Y. 2) households in group X are made up of younger or older children than households in group Y. I need to produce an average and std error for both group X and Y and p-value for test of difference for (1) and (2) if that sounds correct? Also is model-based analysis using the individual-level data more appropriate? - proc mixed/genmod with random effect or repeated subject statement being household and covariate being the interaction term of membership and group in the model? - proc surveyreg with cluster being household, domain being the membership and group as the covariate? Hi there. Can I please ask your advise on how can I find out if households in group X are made up of older/younger adults and children than households in group Y e.g. are adults in X an average of 50yrs old, whilst Y families are 40yrs old? I would do an ANOVA between X and Y but I am stuck on how I should aggregate my data at the household level. Which approach is appropriate? Or are they both incorrect? Your insight is very much appreciated. Hi there. Can someone please explain to me about the contrast statement? For example, to test the linear/quadratic/cubic trend of a 4-level variable, the contrast statements will be Linear -3 -1 1 3 Quad 1 -1 -1 1 Cubic -1 3 -3 1. I just can't get my head around how it is -3 -1 1 3 for linear, 1 -1 -1 1 for quadratic and -1 3 -3 1 for cubic. I only understand they need to sum up to zero. Thank you heaps.

Hi there. Can I please ask your help to get my desired data set because I am having diffuilt. I would like to create FamID and FamMemID based on the original dataset with HSurvID, HMemID, Relationship and time. To differentiate between household and family, I would like to create the FamID with FamMemID. TIme is the first,..., nth interview. HSurvID is the household ID. HMemID is the ID for household interviewee. When Relationship is either Friend, Flatmate or Boarder, they will be thought as one new family on its own. Thank you. It seems like there is a lot of variability in this inflection point with such wide confidence bounds(from 3 to 180 years old? We only have have individuals aged between 12 and 80 in our data). Is it an indication of dropping age2 in spite of being significant? Another question is if 32.5years old is the turning point ignoring the large variability, is it correct to intepret the estimate from the first table as one year increase in age will increase Q352 by exp(0.062)=6.4% [between exp(0.0096) =.96% and exp(0.1143)=12%]. However, it will be exp(-.001)=10% [between exp(-0.0016)=16% and exp(-0.0003)=3%] less likely to have Q352 as every one year increase in age after 32.5 years old. By the way @SteveDenham, would you be able to provide me the reference to the delta method so I can have a read? Your insight is greatly appreciated.
