Currently we're doing this....   1.) Get a list of named users - This is really just a list of user ids extracted from /etc/passwd. User accounts follow a naming standard, so they are easy to spot.   2.) In the Workspace Server and Batch Server usermods.sh file, write a piece of code that logs $USER to a .txt file. Similar to what @boemskats is doing. Then at some point, just do a unique sort of these users ids. This will give you a unique list of users that have actually used the platform in x period. Unless I'm missing something, then forgive me....   But it seems like Samba is running on the AIX server, which means you can then see the Windows file share, right ? I had this setup going on Solaris years ago, so I'm pretty sure sure it's the same.   If yes, then the Windows file share shows up like any other NFS share when you use df -g. If yes, then the Windows directory is merely a another directory on AIX, which means you can copy/move/delete files like you would normally do. Yes ? cp /aix_path/myfile.txt /windows_path   @alandool, you mentioned a big file. How big ? In what format ? Generally NFS is not preferred for big data volumes. For archiving purposes, it's probably ok, but definitely not to process data. Setups vary, but generally STPs run under a a shared account, typically sassrv, not your own account. So if the shared account has the required OS permissions, it should all work.   However, this is just one of a couple of moving parts in the whole STP operation.... ... View more
