SAS/ACCESS Interface to Snowflake will:
- Ship on Linux (64-bit) only
- SAS® Viya 3.4
- SAS/ACCESS engine (SPRE)
- SAS Data Connector for Snowflake
- SAS® 9.4M6
- SAS/ACCESS engine
- SAS 9.4M6 is required
- Be based on ODBC
- Include READ and WRITE support
- Include Bulk Load support
- Supported on AWS only
- Snowflake began life on AWS; it has since expanded to Azure and will go to Google Cloud Platform soon. Most Snowflake customers are on AWS.
- Include SAS procedure push-down (for select procedures)
- Include National Language Support
We will add more features in a subsequent release.
It is essential to understand that SAS 9.4M6 (or higher) or SAS Viya 3.4 (or higher) is a requirement for SAS/ACCESS Interface to Snowflake. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
