You will need to use arrays do get the results you want. You will need an array for every variable you want to collapse, and the number of variables in each array will depend on how many observations you have for each BY group (ID). The Enterprise Guide export task is one of the few tasks that does not generate/use SAS code to export data to an external file. For example, when exporting to Excel, Eguide uses SAS/Integration Technologies (IOM) to read the data records from the SAS server, and then uses the MS Jet engine to write a local Excel file with that content.
