Use tasks and Catalog/format explorer and macro viewer without the need to create a project in EG 8

In the new EG 8, you cannot use any of these options without creating a project. I would really like the ability

I hear you.  These tools work this way because, under the covers, they are wired in as tasks.  And any task will trigger the creation of a project.  But, maybe the dev team can add this to the list.

While we are on the subject. I read this on the SAS website for SAS EG 8.1.

But you do actually need a project to manage your tasks. Could you please reformulate this to reflect reality?
