Hello,

I do not know if this is possible, but can there not be a button or something to clear a process flow and/or all output from programs in a process flow? (results, log, external files, data sets).  It seems crazy to me that I have to manually delete all of these items each time a branch is ran.

I know there are options to select the number of data sets to add (Project Properties) and Show Generated Results, Add Output Data etc. (Tools->Options).  But I still have to set these options and then reset them and then set them again depending on the task.

Moreover, I cannot accomplish this via ComObjects either.

I do not yet have access to EG 8, so maybe something is in there?  I love SAS, like LOVE SAS, but not being able to clear results has turned into a seriously frustrating problem for me and my team.

Thanks for everything you all do, it is appreciated!

I know this might sound drastic but a simple workaround would be to disconnect your SAS server connection and reconnect. This should only take a few seconds.

That does sound drastic, but also not sure I can do this when running SAS locally? We are not currently using profiles

I cant believe there isn't an easy/simple solution to this problem, because current options available (as far I know) really don't work, i.e. setting options, then revert back again, isn't going to work, and all data sets/output in process flow magically re-appear anyway after changing the options back (which is crazy, again).

I'm pretty sure you would be able to do this with local SAS as well. Try it and see what happens.

Also why do you want to do this? To clear the decks between runs or for some other reason?

Yes, that is exactly why, to have a "fresh start" for each analyst when running the project (there will be ~50 project for each specific client, ran once a month to big a large report).  Maybe it is just my OCD about starting with a clean slate, but will have to wait to see how it is received by each of them.

And I did try to disconnect my local server, but I was not able to figure it out.  I am not very well versed in SAS EG tbh.

Also, I appreciate your feedback and comments, so thank you!  🙂
