Good resources for colour usage and choosing colour combinations include

http://www.perceptualedge.com/articles/visual_business_intelligence/rules_for_using_color.pdf

http://ksrowell.com/blog-visualizing-data/2012/02/02/optimal-colors-for-graphs/

http://www.stonesc.com/wordpress/

http://colorbrewer2.org/

Good resources for dashboard design include Information Dashboard Design and Show Me The Numbers by Stephen Few.

Avoid pie charts and gauges - their data:ink ratio (aka information transfer effectiveness) is poor.

For an amazing dashboard see http://bzintelguru.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/May-2010-unemployment-dash-8-x-11.png

Hi Nitin,

Are you looking for something like Theme Designer in SAS.You can see this document

SAS(R) Theme Designer 2.5 for Flex: User's Guide

or you can define you own custom theme.

Thanks,

Shiva

I am not able to see any documentation about customizing color palatte for SAS BI Dashboard Pie chart/ Bar Graph's etc. (As these do not have indicator definitions where I can customize their color).

Has anyone tried this before?

-Nithin.
