Viya Installation - add workers

If we have Viya installed can we add workers for additional VMs we want to use?

Sure.

• SAS Viya 3.4 -> Add New Worker Nodes or a Backup Controller
• SAS Viya 3.3 -> Add CAS Worker Nodes

How do you get the software deployed to the new VM's?

Situation.  Installed Viya with 5 workers, now we have 5 new VM's that we want to add.  I assume you have to make sure the new VM's have all the pre-req's met, and I thought we'd have to get the Viya components installed on them too.

There is a deploy-casworker.yml.  It sure would be nice if I could add the new machines to the inventory.ini and run that playbook.  This is for Linux not Cloud Foundry.

Question: How would I add additional workers after the initial deployment?

Answer: Add them to the CAS worker group in inventory.ini and re-execute the site.yml playbook
