Some ansible playbook TASKS do run exceptionally slow

Dear all,

after several installations of SAS Viya, I have came across one that it rebels on execution times. We have even created local mirror repos, but not helping.

I expecience that the slowness come always with the same tasks. Such as Install java,  Install java config, instal libselinux-python, ... tasks that normally take seconds.

If you run the playbook with -vvv you can see the commands executed. Ansible lauches the commands in a way of "ssh....sudo....phython file.py". If I run manually the phython file.py command, it runs in normal times.

That fact made me think of a few things I saw, before SAS Viya, with Ansible playbooks:

- the versions before 2.3.2 had some issues with this

- cheking the passwordless ssh and public keys https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=165382 and ensuring no errors on sshd

- https://access.redhat.com/solutions/317173 - sss_ssh_knownhostsproxy

- and checked some ssh configurations.

Some tasks run a bit better now, but still, too slow. Specially the Install SAS Packages, which should be fast, with local miror repos, but it takes hours.

Any ideas?

yes, there is a ticket open. I will keep this thread updated and I will wait until there is a solution to accept it as such.
