Hello everyone,

Does anybody know where is the physical location of snippets from Viya SAS StudioV?

Here is my case:

I created a new snippet as a sas code in SAS Content->Public folder

I believe there should be some physical sas file which contains my sas code that I can if necessary edit without login into SAS Viya.

For example, in the case of deploying a new version of the snippet, it would be faster to update version by just switching the files.

Thanks,

@BeNur ,

Those are stored in SAS Drive, somewhere in the database.

Hi @alexal ,

thank you for your reply. Do I correctly understand that there is no way to access the files on the server via cmd?

@BeNur ,

That is correct.

So I guess while Viya has been promoted as somewhat agnostic about language (sas, R, python, etc. all working with the CAS cloud analytics server), but not with regard to storage of code.   Disappointing.

The hash OUTPUT method will overwrite a SAS data set, but not append. That can be costly. Consider voting for Add a HASH object method which would append a hash object to an existing SAS data set

Would enabling PROC SORT to simultaneously output multiple datasets be useful? Then vote for
Allow PROC SORT to output multiple datasets
