Entry forms and editable tables connected to database with SAS Viya

Hi,

We are using SAS Viya and we have a customer wish to show a table from database to a user and allow editing of the table (it can be done with some additional entry form or directly in table). Table should also have a filter.

I already did some reaserch and for now I found out I can use SAS jobs to create a web page aplication (https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/Data-Entry-in-SAS-Visual-Analytics-8-3-Part-1...).
But I think this is a lot of code to create what I want with this.

Is there any simpler way to do something like this with SAS Viya? Or is maybe SAS not the best solution for building such UI solutions?

I have learned about this data entry possibility in VA, but haven't used it.

But my gut feeling is the same as yours.

You probably bet better off by connecting Excel either direct you your data base, or via SAS and Add-in for MS365.
