All,

I am having tough time importing as sas7bdat in Viya, for a variable has been formatted using PROC format. The issue is so grave that data advisor fails to load; However, I could explore the data. For this particular case, the formatting is not even complex, we are just getting 4 Delinquency buckets : 0 ~3 (numeric values)

Viya simply denies to show the data advisor, let me choose alternate format, or even assigns a default formatting.

Did anyone else faced this issue? If yes, how it was handled?

I don't have access to Viya so can't point to the specific approach.

However SAS has had an option FMTERR or NOFMTERR that treats unavailable formats as errors or not for a very long time. So you might look here:

https://documentation.sas.com/?cdcId=pgmsascdc&cdcVersion=9.4_3.5&docsetId=lesysoptsref&docsetTarget...

which has note where to check in Viya for the setting.
