Hello all,

A nice feature in VA, is the options to share a report link, and then choosing the Report Image tab.

This was demonstrated to us, at the SAS Forum in Copenhagen earlier this month.

In the demo the image was used to link to at report from an intranet like page, and the image was dynamic! and changed when the report did. (reload required tho)

My question is:

We haven't really been able to use this feature since it seems to require that the user is logged into VIYA before being able to see the images. that kind of kills the idea. of having these links to reports on an intranet page, where everyone can see the "current sales" but diving into the report is only for VIYA users.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

By default every user needs to be authenticated in order to access SAS content.

Dependent on your local IT requirements - you could look into configuring Kerberos authentication (or also referred to as Integrated Windows Authentication). This provides the end-user with single sign-on experience. There is an excellent post about supported logon methods which also links to the related documentation.

Alternatively - you could configure guest access. Dependent on permissions on shared objects (reports) - user will be able to access such content without prior authentication.

Hope this helps. Falko
