Ok, now I understand better the situation. I wonder if there is difference between VA7.3 and VA7.5 how the gauge handles interactions. VA7.5 seems to need a category variable assigned to the role Group to be able to create the interaction. I don't have VA 7.3 to test how the gauge works there.
I wonder if you tried the tips that I gave you f.ex. adding the dummy category to Group role because it should work on VA7.5. If not, then try recreating the gauge to see if it works then. Also did you try the tip I gave you about trying this with completely new report and seeing how the interaction works there? The key is to get the gauge interaction working on your platform. Then when it does the next step is to get it working in your migrated report.
If these doesn't help then I'd have to recommend you to be in contact with your local SAS Technical Support to study this issue further. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.
Best regards,
Petri
Hello @pramod_sharma ,
I'm not expert on this topic but could the problem be that you don't have role Group defined? I believe VA's Page linking was build with the ideology that linking to a hidden page is a filtering action i.e. to drill into a selected category. So f.ex. in the bar chart when you click one the of the bars the hidden page would show more details about that specific bar (category) you clicked. So in a way it's a filtering action. Now, if you don't have a role Group defined you have a plain raw number on the Gauge and VA doesn't know what to filter on the hidden page and doesn't do anything. Try adding the Group role and see what happens.
I can think of two ways to work around this:
I hope this helps even a bit!
Best regards,
Petri
It doen't work, please suggest something else
Hello @pramod_sharma
Ok, I started a VA 7.5 environment and tested my two suggestions - they ought to work. Could you describe a little bit more in detail what didn't work? F.ex. did you create a dummy category and assign it to a role Group?
You could also try doing this in a totally new report and see what happens. If you still can't do it then I would suggest trying different browsers to see if there's something problematic there and maybe contact your SAS technical support.
Best regards,
Petri
Dear Petri,
First of all thanks for trying help.
I created the dashboard in SAS visual analytics 7.3 which is our development environment and deployed the object in SAS analytics 7.5 environment. In the dashboard, we used gauge item and link the gauge with the hidden page, this is working fine in SAS visual analytic 7.3 version but not working in SAS visual analytics 7.5 version.
So please help here.
Thanks and regards,
Pramod
