My company is starting to use the visual analytics with SAS but didn't buy any of the training materials. It's been a couple of years since I learned how to use it in college and I was hoping to find a good resource that will help me get adjusted and started with using the software. I can provide any of the details needed to assist, but I'm genuinely just looking for the basics.

As an experiment I just copy/pasted the whole text you provided into ChatGPT and here what the AI returned.

There are many resources available online that can help you get started with SAS Visual Analytics. Here are some suggestions:

  1. SAS Visual Analytics Tutorials: The official SAS website provides a variety of free tutorials to help you learn SAS Visual Analytics. You can find these tutorials at https://support.sas.com/en/software/visual-analytics-support.html#tutorials.

  2. SAS Visual Analytics Community: SAS Visual Analytics community is a great place to connect with other SAS users, ask questions, and share your knowledge. You can find the community at https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Visual-Analytics/bd-p/sas_visual_analytics.

  3. SAS Visual Analytics YouTube Channel: SAS provides many video tutorials on their YouTube channel to help you learn SAS Visual Analytics. You can find the channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/SASsoftware.

  4. SAS Training: SAS provides various training courses, both online and in-person, that can help you learn SAS Visual Analytics. You can find more information about SAS training at https://www.sas.com/en_us/training.html.

  5. SAS Visual Analytics User Guide: The SAS Visual Analytics User Guide is a comprehensive guide to the software and is available for free on the SAS website. You can find the guide at https://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=va&docsetTarget=home.htm&docsetVersion=8.4&locale=en.

I hope these resources help you get started with SAS Visual Analytics!

@Patrick - That list would be similar to one I could compile manually but done a lot faster I suspect. I'm impressed!

@SASKiwi The answer comes almost "instantly". Here a SAS blog with some experiments: https://blogs.sas.com/content/sascom/2023/01/17/chatgpt-hot-takes/

From my own "play": The SAS programs I asked for had often some issues, but the documentation/explanation for SAS data step programs I've posted were all pretty much correct. I haven't tried something more complicated yet or code with SAS macro language.

Asking the AI for a table of content for some topic or even content for a topic gave me responses that felt useful. Not for 1:1 usage but as a start for some actual documentation. ....and I'm really looking forward to have the AI generate the "blurb" sections of such documentation. It's definitely something I'll try to use for real work.

Sorry @lenaburag for hijacking your question. I feel the answer the AI generated is pretty much what I would have answered myself - but likely not that complete.
