Dear community,

we are facing an issue with the Search Interface to SAS Content.

Can you help us?

Thank you,

Rodrigo

Please consider below the description of the error, the investigation and actions done:

Description: all VA content are not displayed in the web application (explorations, favorites, collections, browse … etc) - screenshot bellow.

Investigation:

1) we received an e-mail with the following error: "Search Interface to SAS Content encountered error while feeding the content to the Indexing Server";

2) we have noticed that the SAS Information Retrieval Studio Server is NOT up;

3) we have seen the following messages in the SASSearchService.log log: "...Indexing process failed with search service exception" and "A search error occurred. SAS IR Studio is not available."

4) we detected that the script IRStudio.sh in the folder /opt/sas/sasconfig/Lev1/Applications/SASInformationRetrievalStudioforSAS is empty;

Actions:

1) we follow the Problem Note 55697 and reproduced all the steps

2) we did the integral restart of all the servers

Even after the actions the problem still persists.

Hi Madelyn,

we don't have any error. We've checked the query-server-error.log and the information-retrieval-studio-server.log files.

However, we manage to solve the problem.

It was related with the licence. We missed to apply the command: "/opt/sas/sasbin/SASDeploymentManager/9.4/sasadm.sh -console"

Thank you for your answer.

Rodrigo

Are there any errors in the query-server-error.log in SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/Applications/SASInformationRetrievalStudioforSAS/logs?
