Hi all,

I am building a report in SAS Visual Analytics, whilst using the crosstab object, however I am filtering my table by date - however I have noticed that the display will often leave blank space at the bottom. Is there a way get the crosstab to automatically fill the dead space? Another point is there a way to set the column widths in the right-hand side menus because I am trying to create multiple tables, however having to manually adjust the widths to standardize their size is very awkward.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

The questions you are asking make me wonder if your crosstab would work better with the axes reversed. Something to try, perhaps.

I don't think there are options to do what you are asking for. By "blank space" do you mean the empty rows like you see here?

Would you want the row height to expand to fully fill the vertical space?

Being able to specify the column widths as a percentage, etc on the Options pane seems useful, although in practice this could be problematic when people view the report on a smaller device, at a lower screen resolution, or at a higher magnification.

That is what I meant, tbh I just want to avoid empty space like that both column and row wise it just doesn't look that good. Secondly, on the column width in the menus - there is the option to set the table width and height as a percentage - that would work great if you could do that for individual columns.

There can be literally hundreds of columns, so it might be an implementation challenge to have width options at the column level. But there's no harm entering a suggestion for it : )
