Hi,

We are planning to migrate the SAS VA setup running on windows to a different data center  and to have it on windows itself. There is no change in the server topology or software version.

How can this be achieved seamlessly.  How do we migrate the data from source LASR server to target LASR server.  Is this doable or should I load the data afresh into the target LASR server once it is set up in the Target.

Thanks,

Vijay.

If you are talking only about in-memory LASR data it would be a lot simpler just to duplicate the same load processes on your target server that you have on your source server.

You will have to migrate your SAS metadata though. If the migration is just one-off you can use the export/import metadata functions in SAS Management Console.
