Hi all

When we Print to PDF in SAS VA 7.5 (on Windows Server 2012R2) it takes 1-2 minutes to get the PDF file (as download) in the browser (Chrome, Edge, IE - on Windows 10)

Can this be optimized somehow, users are impatient and are printing multiple times.

(Performance when using the report 'online' in the browser is fine)

This is not my area of expertise, but a thought that comes to mind:

If the data for the report is static, you could link to a prepared PDF rather than have the PDFs created on the fly each time they are requested. Obviously this would work best for a report that is not very dynamic or interactive.

@GertNissen, what size is the PDF file that's returned? What kind of analytics are happening behind the scene for the reports in it? How large is the data referenced in the report?

Break the rules. Keep the faith. Fight for love.

Hi Gert,

Two additional questions:

- Are you using the option Expand clipped and non-visible content?

- Any other settings being set other than default?

Best regards,

Petri
