Printing max date

Hello,

In my dataset i've got a date field which represents the date of the ticket.

I want to show on top the max date, so the users will know which was the last refresh date.

Any suggestions?

I tried with a stored process, and this works, but when printing the report in PDF, it uses a whole page for the stored process.

If you are using SAS Visual Analytics 7.1, have you tried to create a parameter and use this?

Thanks for the reply, but I can't really see how this can be usefull.

I'm using 7.1 and i'm trying to send a summary report by mail. But i want it to include the last refresh date. So no user interaction is possible.

When i select a parameter, i can only select char, or numeric. No dates.

Hi Filip,

Yes parameters cannot be dates. I was thinking you could use functions to convert it to a string so that it is a formatted date as a character. Then you could use it in a text input control box with no interaction so that the date appears in the box. I'm not sure whether a parameter can be within a text object so this is an alternative.

Thanks for the input. I have created a small table with 2 fields: tablename, and last update date. I'm also using this table now to send if the job did run correct or not.

I loaded this into VA and i used a list table to display the last date.

Hi Filip,

I think I have more or less the same requirement as you had and I am hoping you can share some information with me 🙂

We have scheduled around 25 Teradata tables to be loaded into the LASR Server on a daily basis. Now my requirement is to create a Monitoring Dashboard where the Service Desk can see whether the data sources are loaded. Therefore I want to output the MAX Timestamp of every SAS Data Source.

Would you be so kind to elaborate on your solution? Where did you create that small table? Is the information in that table coming from SAS or from your DBMS?
