New SAS Visual Analytics 7.1 certification - do you plan to do it?

Hi VA community,

I was very excited to see a new SAS certification being developed, SAS Certified Visual Analytics Content Developer Using SAS Visual Analytics 7.1 Credential. You can sign up to do the beta exam which opens 18th March - 1st April at https://support.sas.com/certify/creds/va.html

I'm interested to hear whether your planning to do the exam and if you have any questions in your study preparation.

It would be nice if there were sample questions. In the past, beta exams haven't had sample questions.

Michelle's link is a good link for preparation resources. In addition to formal training, the site also lists some reading material and introductory videos.

For beta exams, we do not have sample questions. We will have sample questions for the production version of the exam.

I am planning to give the certification on "SAS Certified Visual Business Analyst:Exploration and Design".

If somebody who has cleared this certification can share their ideas and the preparation they had followed to successfully get certified. This would be great help for all VA users who wants to do the certification.

Hi Skrikant,

I noticed you had posted your question a little while ago and was curious to know whether you've done the certification and/or would like assistance. I have this certification and would suggest your exam preparation to include:

• hands-on practical experience using SAS Visual Analytics
• a very strong understanding of the exam topics
• if possible, attend the SAS Visual Analytics Fast Track course

What country are you wanting to see the SAS VA Fast Track Course for? From the home page, go to Training & Books and then select the BI path for the SAS VA course. Let us know what country you are wanting to do the course in and then a direct link can be shared.

Your question isn't related to certification and probably should have been in a new message thread. Please keep this in mind in future.

My suggestions are: Gain hands on experience, use the product. Attend the SAS Visual Analytics Fast Track course and study the user guide very well.

Certification is an assessment of your practical understanding and use of the software to address particular data visualisation and analytic questions. Certification is not an assessment of how well you memorise sample questions.
