Hi VA Experts,
Has anybody out there worked out how to do Moving Annual Totals in VA? I know there are lots of Out-of-the-box options like Year-to-date and Parallel Period Comparisons but I can't find a way to make the Periodic Operators sum up a value for a rolling 12 month Period. What I need to see is something like this ... where MAT is the running total for the previous 12 months...
Month | Value | YTD | MAT |
Apr-15 | £100 | £466 | £1,334 |
Mar-15 | £123 | £366 | £1,345 |
Feb-15 | £145 | £243 | £1,314 |
Jan-15 | £98 | £98 | £1,257 |
Dec-14 | £99 | £1,237 | £1,237 |
Nov-14 | £78 | £1,138 | £1,233 |
Oct-14 | £90 | £1,060 | £1,248 |
Sep-14 | £145 | £970 | £1,249 |
Aug-14 | £120 | £825 | £1,194 |
Jul-14 | £87 | £705 | £1,163 |
Jun-14 | £97 | £618 | £1,163 |
May-14 | £152 | £521 | £1,151 |
Apr-14 | £111 | £369 | £1,083 |
Mar-14 | £92 | £258 | £1,055 |
Feb-14 | £88 | £166 | £1,044 |
Jan-14 | £78 | £78 | £1,035 |
Dec-13 | £95 | £1,035 | £1,035 |
Nov-13 | £93 | £941 | £941 |
Oct-13 | £92 | £848 | £848 |
Sep-13 | £90 | £756 | £756 |
Aug-13 | £89 | £666 | £666 |
Jul-13 | £87 | £578 | £578 |
Jun-13 | £86 | £491 | £491 |
May-13 | £84 | £405 | £405 |
Apr-13 | £83 | £321 | £321 |
Mar-13 | £81 | £239 | £239 |
Feb-13 | £80 | £158 | £158 |
Jan-13 | £78 | £78 | £78 |
HI dlyons,
I asked a developer who supports the periodic operators about this, and he doesn't know of a workaround in the current release. This feature is on our radar, so hopefully it can be implemented in a future release.
Sam
Thanks Sam. I'll keep an eye out for it in future releases.
