HI All,

feeling pretty silly as I can't work out how to import either a csv file or a SAS EG file into SAS VA. Using SAS VS Hub 7.1.

Instructions say to follow the below - but can't find where the 'link' is for the type of data file I want to import.

To import data from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, delimited text file, or SAS data set:
1 Click the link for the type of data file that you want to import, and then select the file.

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Hello,

Here is one example how you can start to import files:

  1. Open Report Designer
  2. Open Data tab (left top corner)
  3. Click Add Data Source icon or Select a data source (still left top corner)
  4. From the right side of the window click Microsoft Excel or SAS Data Set.
  5. ...

If you don't see these, then you are missing some user rights.

I hope this help.

Best regards,

Petri

@DME790 ,

You can import local data in SAS Visual Data Builder. Click File -> Import Data.

Thanks @PetriRoine  and @alexal ,

Looks like we have restrictions in place and I'm unable to get to import. Will work with IT to get the proper access.

Cheers
