Our organization has an ESRI server that we are considering accessing through VA. Before we modify our installation in an attempt to do this, we are hoping that members of the SAS VA Community can provide insight into any (dis)advantages of the differenct services. Primarily, we are curious about how different map servers might impact the functionality of reports, or if there is any difference at all. From our understanding, the choice of server impacts only the map tiles that are visible through the VA map objects and all object functionality is built into the Report Designer and Viewer. Is that correct? Or, is there some way to access additional functionality of either map server through VA Reports beyond what is offered by VA itself?
