Crosstab including hierarchy doesn't change cell width after saving and reopening the report. Changes referring to width seem to be discarded.

Which version of SAS Visual Analytics are you using?

I have access only to 8.5.2. In that version, if the viewer state feature is enabled, the table should honor the width even if it is set in the viewer. Whether or not the feature is enabled, the table should honor the width saved in edit mode.

If that is not working for you, can you provide more details about the table.

  • How many data items are assigned?
  • How many levels is the hierarchy?
  • How is the hierarchy expanded (or not)?
  • Which types (category or measure) of data items are on the rows and which on the columns?

It is also possible that this is a defect in 8.5.1, but I have not found anything that seems related.

  • 1 row with category hierarchy and 4 measure items are assigned
  • Hierarchy consists of 4 levels and can be expanded
  • The width problem remains in each level of hierarchy

Thank you for the information. With those role assignments, I do see a problem with the width. I am sorry but I don't see any way to retain the width after the report has been closed and reopened. I tried unchecking the options to extend width and fit columns to width, but the behavior was the same.
