Hi community,

Is there any possibility of connecting SAS with Cassandra? If Yes, Please guide me with the steps/links to connect to  it

Thanks

Hello @balraj,

I don't know if there is a SAS/ACCESS module specific to Cassandra ( you can confirm by opening a track with SAS Technical Support), but I can confirm it is possible to connect with a SAS/ACCESS to ODBC license and an ODBC driver for Cassandra ( https://www.google.nl/search?q=cassandra&oq=cassandra&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60.1511j0j7&sourceid=chro... )

While this option would not allow you to have in-database processing, I also understand you probably won't need this feature, since you are posting this question on the Visual Analytics community, therefore no real ETLs.

Does it help your question?

Kind regards,

Juan

Yes, absolutely. You can use an ODBC driver. Here is a tutorial describing an easy way to access data into SaS/Access: SAS Access Tutorial . Please note that this tutorial uses the MongoDB ODBC driver, but the same steps can be followed with Cassandra ODBC driver. Let me know if you have any other questions as you try this tutorial. I work with DataDirect and I will be happy to get you in touch with a product expert.
