Unable to save a SAS program with. sas extension

Hello All,

I was trying to save a SAS program normally under a folder, and every time I am trying to save it is putting a .log extension in the fron

Please see the screenshot.

Normally in those type of windows you do not put extension at all, just the name.  The Save As type would indicate the extension.

What could be happening is if you Save As when the Log window is active.  Ensure you click within the program editor are, then click Save As.  If its not that, please describe what you do to get to that box.

I am saving the file when i am in the editor window.

What version of SAS Studio are you using? And what browser?

I am using SAS University Edition in Chrome, I closed the entire browser and restarted vmware and now the programs are getting saved with .sas extension.

I  had a similar issue. Restarting the Virtual Box helped.
