I am using following code to save log
proc printto log="C:/log_test.lst";
run;
data dsn;
input patid implants;
datalines;
1 3
1 1
1 2
;run;
proc printto log=log;run;
Though I get a log in c drive but log now get desappeared from log window. Is there any way I can see the log in log window also and get one extracted as well.
I think you can do this using the ALTLOG System Option. You have to alter the configuration file to do so though.
Hi,
You could also do it just by "re-reading" created log:
proc printto log="C:/SAS_WORK/log_test.log";
run;
data dsn;
input patid implants;
datalines;
1 3
1 1
1 2
;
run;
proc printto log=log; run;
data _null_;
infile "C:/SAS_WORK/log_test.log";
input;
putlog "*>" _infile_;
run;
All the best

Sadly SAS has not implemented this very useful feature.
So you have to resort to workarounds such as what @yabwon describes.
