I have values with spaces i want to strip.
data (character values):
var1 |
( 5.4%, 15.3%) |
( 100.0%) |
(100.0%,99.9%) |
want:
var1 |
(5.4%, 15.3%) |
(100.0%) |
(100.0%,99.9%) |
Use the COMPRESS() function. That will remove specific characters. The default is to remove spaces.
data want;
set have;
var1=compress(var1);
run;
