What does it mean to run this code

%put Process ID: &SYSJOBID;

What is the meaning of the automatic macro variable SYSJOBID?

What is the need for this code?How can it help or what is the benefit from that?

Knowing the id of a running sas process/job can be useful if the process/job needs to be terminated.
