Hi,

I am newbie in SAS programming.

after opening the sas dataset in PC SAS/viewer, How would you got the end of the dataset to the final variable quickly (if I have >100 variables (apart from keep/drop)) or  end of the record in that dataset (like Ctrl+end) without dragging the side bar.

thank you,

Ram

Hi:
It depends on what you mean by PC SAS/viewer? Do you mean Enterprise Guide? Do you mean SAS Studio? Do you mean SAS Display Manager on Windows? Do you mean using SAS/FSP? Or the SAS Universal Viewer? In many of the SAS viewers the page up and page down keys also work instead of a scroll bar. In some SAS viewers there are arrows someplace in the view and the >>| or >| will typically take you to the end of the data table.

Thank you for your response.

Yes, I mean on SAS Display Manager on Windows after opening the dataset how should go to the end.

Thank you

Ram

Hi:
This previous posting https://communities.sas.com/t5/New-SAS-User/How-to-use-mouse-scroll-in-viewtable-SAS-9-2/td-p/542331 suggests using Ctrl+ Page Up or Ctrl+Page Down.

Thank you @Cynthia_sas for point to the thread.

@GFW wrote about assigning shortcuts to  KEYS, which is great but all are working vertically on the dataset.

(BACKWARD <n> ,BOTTOM ,FORWARD <n> , TOP)

with that reference,  I assigned RIGHT and LEFT to work horizontally on the dataset.

I see LEFT is working with a Note: At left side but unable to get right working....so that I can see far right/last variable.

like TOP, BOTTOM ...do we have any keywords ..start /end.

Thank you
