Morning everyone,
This morning, I start my work by importing some dataset, however, it is so wired that when I just click start - import data, then the whole SAS EG screen just freeze, that I cannot click anywhere in SAS EG at all, and the import windows doesn't pop up (it usually just pop up a window to let me choose the file). I can still click elsewhere for other software, but for SAS EG, it just dead...I need to start task manager to force quit it......Could anyone help me figure this out?
Thanks
EG should not do that (not saying it doesn't do that).
You should contact tech support.
Also restarting EG regularly helps it not fall apart too often.
I have the same issue- did you find a solution?
As already stated this is really an issue for Tech Support to resolve. If possible try the same thing on another computer. Do you get the same problem? If not then the problem is just with your computer. What EG version are you using? If you are not on the latest version - 8.3 - then upgrading is well worth doing. If that is not an option then reinstalling EG might help.
I saw similar things happening with EG 7.x when the number of displays or their resolution changed. Renamig the config file helped. Just go to %appdata%\SAS\EnterpriseGuide\7.1 and rename/delete WindowLocations.xml and maybe Settings.xml, OpenDlg and SaveDlg.
