Dear all, 

I have a variables A and B in date formats (mmyyn6.). Now  in a datastep I have a code that looks like this:

I know this is not correct but can any one help

data want;
set have
if A >= 'Nov2000'd and B<= 'Dec2010'd;
run;

Dates must be represented in the following form:

 

'01JAN2022'd

 

and not any other form (except that lower case letters are allowed). So, inside the quotes, the day of the month (2 digits) comes first, followed by three letter month, followed by four digit year.

 

So you may want this:

 

data want;
    set have
    if a >= '01Nov2000'd and b <= '31Dec2010'd;
run;
