Hello,

 

I would like to remove the Second '.' of value in the character variable.

For Example 

(5.8.8) turn it as (5.88)

 

Kindly suggest code to solve it.

    b=prxchange('s/(.*\..*)(\.)(.*)/$1$3/', -1, a);
    put b;
