Hello,

I would like to remove the Second '.' of value in the character variable.

For Example

(5.8.8) turn it as (5.88)

Kindly suggest code to solve it.

Thank you.

    a='5.8.8';
    b=prxchange('s/(.*\..*)(\.)(.*)/$1$3/', -1, a);
    put b;
run;
